As a newly graduated employee one usually partakes in commissions under the supervision of a senior consultant who is in charge of the commission. By gaining experience and knowledge of the business and your chosen field of expertise, you will eventually be given larger projects and more responsibility. Depending on your interest and development, you will get to choose your own path, the most common ones being: become a specialist in your chosen field, take on more responsibility in order to one day lead a project, take on bigger and bigger commissions as a project manager or move onwards toward the goal of becoming the director of your department.
Other methods for developing your skills include the opportunities offered by Tyréns’ department of research and development. The foundation that owns Tyréns spend 20 million SEK a year on projects solely devoted to research and development. These projects are either carried out in-house or in co-operation with universities or other businesses.
