Wood among the woods
The beech woods near Hovdala Castle just outside Hässleholm hide one of the country’s most interesting houses – a conference building among the tree tops.
Visitors approach the building from a car park where they step onto a lit log bridge that leads to the house among the canopies. The entrance side is closed and as you enter the building the rooms open up to display a fantastic view. In order to avoid damaging the trees and their root systems the foundation has been laid in the shape of small steel poles adapted to the tree roots. The slender poles carry the weight of the entire building and the decking which is also made entirely from wood. We have performed services in the fields of construction, geotechnology and staking out on this project. The building is used for conferences and receptions.
