Analysis and action programme
SSAB is one of the world’s leading suppliers of hightension steel. The company’s plant in Borlänge handles flammable goods and other chemicals. This means that risk management is performed pursuant to requirements outlined in various legislations.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas is used to heat steel-work ovens and accounts for the majority of flammable goods. Flammable fuels in the form of paint for the final treatment of steel are also used inside the plant. Our consultants have assisted SSAB with risk management, training, classification plans and the development of explosion-protection documents for the handling of flammable goods. We have also prepared a safety report and safety audits for the action programme in accordance with the Seveso legislation.
