A working plan for the Stockvik-Skönsberg stretch
Tyréns has drawn up a working plan for the Stockvik - Skönsberg part of a greater road project called E4 in Sundsvall. The project includes about eight kilometres of road as well as a bridge that spans about 1,400 metres across the Sundsvall fjord with a height of 33 metres.
The road will have four lanes and they will conform to freeway standards. The standards and directions that are in place today are out-dated, which is a problem for the people who utilise the road as well as for the continued development of the Sundsvall valley. The working plan for E4 in Southern Sundsvall contains several general improvements that will - when combined - create a positive solution for the future, and not just for traffic safety, accessibility and the environment, but also for the development of Sundsvall and the western parts of northern Sweden. The entire E4 Sundsvall project will result in a brand new direction from Myre in the south to Skönsberg in the north.
