Norrtälje municipality is expecting a significant expansion during the next 30 years. Many new households will thus need to be connected to the municipal water and sewage network.
In 2009 the municipality selected Norrvatten as their drinking water supplier and decided to build a 55 km long main pipeline to link Norrtälje’s current water pipeline network in Vallentuna and Åkersberga. Tyréns has pre-designed the main water pipeline and prepared a tender request document for the first phase. The assignment has included finding the ideal pipeline section, participating in consultations and applying for environmental rulings for the sections that cross lakes, and preparing an EIA. We have also contributed with our expertise in the field of geotechnology (including geophysics), mapping and measurement technology.
