Tyréns has established a new Urban Development division to develop strategies and plans for city development. We have an extensive track record in urban building projects and have seen growing interest in city development in innovative, strategic and operating contexts. Our aim is to help drive further growth in this sector.
In 2009-2010 Tyréns carried out an international study, Urban Trends, to explore what the cities of tomorrow will be like and how they will function. Urban Trends identifies the prerequisites shared by successful cities and highlights ways that growth can and should take place in Sweden. More than 5,000 people living in Sweden’s 24 largest regions completed a questionnaire to put the survey’s international findings in a national context. The responses form a valuable platform for our extended activities in urban development and offer a unique process that cities, municipalities and regions can use to prepare for future opportunities and challenges.
The new Urban Development division will offer survey, analysis and forecasting services across the residential, office and retail property market segments to real estate clients. It will also offer planning project management and planning advisory services with the aim of supporting clients throughout the planning process.
