The Royal Palace

Program plan for the long-term maintenance of the Royal Palaces facades. The commission consists of a program plan for the long-term maintenance of the Royal Palace?s facades. They are mostly made out of stone, but there are parts that consist of plaster and tin as well as cast iron, zinc and lead details.

A pilot design of a select piece of the façade describes and specifies the criteria for evaluation, methods, material and guidelines for documentation is also in progress. The timeline for the restoration project is estimated to 25 years. Tyréns is providing the consultant group with a stone restorer, a design manager and a structural engineer. The project itself is being managed by the castle architect Andreas Heymowski, who is also acting as the general consultant. The client and building owner is the National Property Board.
