A.Engineer is an agentic AI platform that automates the manual work of structural and civil engineering. In contrast to many AI solutions, A.Engineer does not give answers, it does the job. Calculations, fully automated agentic workflows, and report generation, inside a single intelligent workspace. Engineers work faster without sacrificing control: every AI step is fully auditable, and every output is verified by a professional engineer.

We are a start-up born inside Tyréns Group's innovation programme Tyréns NEXT, combining the resources and domain depth of one of Europe's leading engineering consultancies with the speed and ambition of a founding team. We launched across Europe in late 2025 and are now aiming to scale the business globally.

Research shows that 40–80% of engineering work is still manual. A.Engineer will change that.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A.Engineer has already customers and users. Engineers are using it, saving hours every week, and starting to tell their colleagues about it. What we do not yet have is a product that looks and feels so good that is just delight every user, sells itself and spreads organically. That is what you will build. As Design Lead you own everything: the UI/UX, the design system, and the A.Engineer brand. You will raise the visual and experiential standard of the product from MVP to world-class and you will do it working directly with the rest of the core team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Take full ownership of product design, from user research and information architecture to interaction design and polished, pixel-perfect UI.
• Build and own the A.Engineer design system: component library, design tokens, and documentation used by engineers every day.
• Define and evolve the brand: visual identity, typography, colour, motion, and tone of voice across every touchpoint.
• Work side by side with engineering in sprint cycles you ship, you do QA, you care about what actually makes the difference.
• Conduct user interviews with engineers and translate complex domain feedback into intuitive, elegant design solutions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of product design at a B2B SaaS or technical product company. You have shipped complex interfaces used by professionals.
• A portfolio that shows both design craft and taste for world class UX, ideally for data-intensive or generative AI products.
• Hands-on experience building scalable design systems, not just contributing to an existing one.
• Comfortable moving from whiteboard to modern design tools to working prototype without needing a handoff from anyone.
• High ownership mentality: you see something broken, you fix it. You don't wait to be asked.
• Bonus: experience in AI native design tools
