A.Engineer is an agentic AI platform that automates the manual work of structural and civil engineering. In contrast to many AI solutions, A.Engineer does not give answers, it does the job. Calculations, fully automated agentic workflows, and report generation, inside a single intelligent workspace. Engineers work faster without sacrificing control: every AI step is fully auditable, and every output is verified by a professional engineer.

We are a start-up born inside Tyréns Group's innovation programme Tyréns NEXT, combining the resources and domain depth of one of Europe's leading engineering consultancies with the speed and ambition of a founding team. We launched across Europe in late 2025 and are now aiming to scale the business globally.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is the defining technical role at A.Engineer. You will design and own the architecture of a platform that serves individual engineers for free, professionals on a credit card subscription, and large enterprise clients simultaneously. You make the decisions that determine how we scale, how we secure sensitive engineering data, and how we integrate with the tools the industry already relies on. There is no one else to delegate this to, it is yours.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own the end-to-end technical architecture — data layer, APIs, and front-end delivery — across consumer (free), professional (pro), and enterprise tiers.
• Make the calls on security posture: data residency, multi-tenancy, RBAC, and compliance with enterprise requirements (such as GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Define interoperability standards: how A.Engineer talks to 3rd party engineering systems and data within the wider AEC ecosystem.
• Set engineering culture: code review standards, documentation practices, and the technical bar as the team grows.
• Collaborate with development team to ensure the architecture enables both fast iteration today and reliable scale tomorrow.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 7+ years of full-stack engineering, with real experience designing systems that handle enterprise-grade load and compliance requirements.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and skillset with strong ability to execute.
• You love programming with modern AI driven methods and are not afraid to get. hands on whatever comes across during our journey.
• Deep familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices, and API design patterns.
• Proven track record building and securing products that handle sensitive professional data.
• Experience with tiered access models: you have shipped freemium-to-enterprise products before.
• Strong opinions on what good architecture looks like, and the humility to know when you're wrong.
• Bonus: background in AEC, construction tech, or another regulated professional services domain.
